Day: Arrival

Arrival City: Arusha

Distance covered: 30km /50km

You’ll met our guide on your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport. Afterwards is transfer to planet Lodge for dinner and overnight stay. (40 km, 30 minutes)

Day 1

Destination: Tarangire National Park

Distance covered: 130km

Non – game viewing time: 3 – 4 hours

After an early morning breakfast, you’ll have a short briefing from guides and tour departs. First stop is Arusha Town for last minute purchases before we head off on safari. After that we head towards the Tarangire National Park for an exquisite and thrilling game drive with picnic lunch at the park.

Tarangire national park is well known for its vast elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the centre of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 25,000 wildebeest, 3000 elephants and 30,000 zebras.

Dinner and overnight will be served at Ngorongoro farm house.

Day 2

Destination: Serengeti National park

Distance covered: 145km

Non – game viewing time: 3 – 4 hours

After an early morning breakfast, we’ll leave the accommodation make way to Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Departing uplands behind, we descend into the heart of famous Africa’s wildlife – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless savannah plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see.

Then heard to the central area of Serengeti national park, known as the Seronera area, one of the amusing wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s diverse species.

Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon sunny game drive in the Serengeti national park. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp.

DAY 2 MEALS: Lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast

Day 3

Destination: Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater Conservation area

Distance covered: 145km

Non – game viewing time: 2 – 4 hours

Early morning after breakfast will experience morning game drive and after that make way to Ngorongoro Conservation area. We will make a stop at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time.

It was here at Olduvai Gorge, that world’s famed anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution. Late afternoon transfer to Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge where you will have dinner and overnight

DAY3 MEALS: Lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast

Day 4

Destination: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha – Airport

Distance covered: 210km

Non – game viewing time: 3 – 4 hours

After an early morning breakfast, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater and experience wonderful game drive. Ngorongoro conservation area maintained by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro conservation Area supports a vast diversity of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, buffalo, eland, zebra, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants.

Another big draw card to this picturesque national park also known as Africa’s garden of Eden, is it’s dense and diverse population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires an experienced and well-trained eye to spot.

We will depart for Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner of the conservation area, which is one of the main features of the crater. A huge number of flamingos, hippos and diverse water birds species can usually be seen here.

Late in the afternoon will have transfer to Arusha city for dinner and Overnight stay or direct to airport drop off. (Accommodation on this day forward can be included upon request and at extra cost)
